How do I join the Travacco network?
To join the Travacco network, all you need to do is follow the ‘Sign Up' link and enter the required details. Once you have done that, someone from the company will give you a call to get more details about your accommodation and activate your account.

How much does it cost to join the Travacco network?
It's absolutely free! You do not have to pay anything to join the network.

 

Is there a monthly maintenance charge?
No. There is no monthly maintenance charge that accommodations have to pay Travacco to be on the network.

What exactly is Open House ?

pen House is an online inventory management system that helps you build a profile for your accommodation and manage your bookings. Using Open House you can accept bookings from travellers who make their bookings on the Internet on Travacco 's own customer facing websites and other affiliates.

Organisers of treks, rafting camps, wildlife safaris, nature trips etc can also make use of Open House. They can customize their packages and activities and make their offering available online.

 

How do I start receiving bookings from Travacco ?
To start receiving bookings from Travacco , you need to register your accommodation (link) and then use Open House to build your profile, room-types, facilities, restrictions, room rates etc.

Can I change my accommodation profile details and rates at any time?
Of course! In fact we encourage people to upload seasonal photographs, add information about their new facilities and keep making their profile more attractive based on feedback that they receive from their customers. You can also change your room rates at any time – by day of the week, by occupancy and by season.

 

What can I do to get the maximum number of bookings from the Travacco network?
To start with, you must have a complete and detailed profile. Have good quality photographs as they make a huge impact.

However, the most important determining factor for travelers will be the rating your accommodation receives from other customers who have stayed with you. When you give them very good service and keep them happy, they are bound to give you a good rating that will help other travelers choose your accommodation.

 

How does the rating system work?
Each customer who has booked through Travacco and stayed at your accommodation gets a mail from Travacco on checking out, asking for a feedback on the stay experience. Based on their experience, they rate your accommodation on parameters such as cleanliness, safety, friendliness etc. This rating is added onto your profile for other users to see.

How am I intimated about bookings to my accommodation?
As soon as a traveler books a room at your accommodation on Travacco 's customer facing website, you get a message on Open House and an email asking you to accept a booking. As soon as you accept the booking, we charge the customer's credit card and send the customer a message saying that you have confirmed the booking. For all bookings that come through Travacco , the availability status gets updated automatically, so all you have to do is update the booking.

 

Can I decline a booking?
Since you receive only confirmed bookings from Travacco , you must have a good reason for declining a booking. The customer goes ahead and books a room at your accommodation only after reviewing the profile, the prices and the availability. So unless there is an unforeseen emergency, we request you not to decline confirmed bookings.

 

What do I do if I don't have an Internet connection for 24 hrs a day?
Not a problem. All you need to ensure is that you check your bookings and update your availability status at least once a day. It'll not take more than a minute.

Can I book the rooms that I put on the Travacco network directly to my customers?
Of course! In fact we have provided a facility in Open House for you to manage your own bookings via phone, referrals, travel agents and walk-ins. All you need to ensure is that after accepting bookings directly, you must update your availability status on Open House so that online users get the correct availability and there is no double booking for the same room. It goes without saying that we don't charge you for using this service.

 

I receive bookings over the phone and references as well. How do I ensure that the availability is correctly reflected to online travellers on Travacco ?
As soon as you receive a booking from sources other than Travacco i.e. over the phone, email, referrals, travel agents etc. – you MUST enter the same online. Entering this information will take under a minute and will be useful for you to maintain your own record as well. This is crucial to avoid a double booking for the same room on the same date.

 

When and how do I receive the payment?
As soon as the customer checks-in to the accommodation, you need to press the ‘checked-in' button on Open House. As soon as you do that, money will be transferred instantly into your bank account.

Can I cancel the bookings?
You can only cancel bookings that you have received through sources other than Travacco . For all bookings that have come through Travacco , the customers will need to cancel it with Travacco .

 

What happens if a customer cancels a booking?
You get to keep the first night's amount irrespective of whether the customer cancels the booking or not. For the other nights, depending on when a customer cancels the booking, either you or the customer gets to keep the lion's share. Details of everything relating to cancellations are mentioned in the Cancellation Policy.

 

How does Travacco earn if you're providing all these services and benefits for free?
We're making available some of the best inventory management software and booking engine to our partners and we have consciously decided not to charge an upfront amount for it. However, we're also looking forward to making money Travacco charges a commission on all bookings that come through it and its network of affiliates as its commission. We deduct the amount directly before transferring the your share to your bank account.
